Well my lovely folks, here is a recap of what went down at this weeks LAZR tradeshow. For those of you who do not know what a tradeshow is or have not attend one, it is an organized exhibition of many vendors of brands showcasing their new collections for retail buyers to purchase for a store. It goes much more in depth but that is it’s basic purpose. Usually buyers are the main attendees but for the past few years media such as press and trend forecasters have been populating these events.
Luckily Two Point Oh LA, the blog association I am part of was invited to check out what was going to be in for Spring 2013. At the end of the day I got the chance to shoot Melissa and Marla with some cool items courtesy of the Los Angeles Fashion Council.
Attending these tradeshows are always fun for me because I get the insider on what brands are producing and sometimes what buyers put in their store.
Some of my favorite booths had to be Tommy Hilfiger, TUK Footwear, and Matiko.
Here are some visuals so open up your eye balls.

I need those plaid ones 😉
This weekend I did absolutely no shopping. I decided I wanted to shift my activities by enjoying the people who surround me this summer. Living in Los Angeles has so many things to do during this summer, that it’s just hard to choose at times.
Saturday was a good day spent with my mom. I took her to KCRW’s annual Summer Nights in Chinatown because I do love me some red bean cakes and also checked out one of my favorite DJ’s Anthony Valadez. The best part of a free event is that it attracts various personalities and I love to people watch ( I really do). It allows me to sit, observe a persons behavior and fashion (with no judgement).
On a side note, I am trying to gain some photography skills. As you see its a bit amateur-ish but hopefully I’ll improve along the way. If you have any advice or comments feel welcome to let me know!
The next Summer Nights event is August 11th. So be there!
There are too many characteristics about me that it is always difficult to pick one particular liking. Everyone has different actors to themselves believe it or not. It may seem scattered but I will try and categorize some my sub personalities and character traits that are currently inspired.

On a hot summer day male model Fernando Vega brought out a few of his threads to share. Don’t be jaded by the handsome face, this guy is currently enrolled as a business and economic major with a minor in law. Oh yea, and he is also an amazingly fast salsa dancer. His style roots from his east coast home of Chicago mixed in with Los Angeles vintage. Clean cut and simple.
First glance at these pieces and you can recognize that graffiti throw- up weaved cleverly into the dresses. Well if you know the culture of graffiti. Rarely we stumble across a collection that presents street art and luxury fashion in beautiful manner. Lucas Nascimento is that ray of light who created a fresh sight by knitting his fabrics with sleek styles. With such sophistication, it is still hard to not love it.
I went to high school in Downtown LA so you know I’m pretty familiar with the area. Little Tokyo is one place I know whats up when it comes down to eating quality Japanese food and unique shopping spots. Taking my Burbank pal Aaron out for a photo mission I ended up looking for empty places in the art district. Yet for some reason I think the area has turned into a “hipster” hang out because of Urth Cafe and that sausage place I can’t properly say. But it was productive day.
